Here at St. Mary’s we’re very privileged to be able to get involved in theatre and music, ran by very talented teachers. If you’re interested in acting, Head of Performing Arts, Mr Wood says, ‘Always say hello to teachers, and keep Tuesday nights free – our rehearsals for Evita are on then!’
Mr Wood and his partner in drama Miss Drake, have appeared in many performances together, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat [West End] and various pantomimes.
They beamed ‘We have the best jobs in the world!’
The music isn’t half bad either! Flic Green in year 11 who is working towards Grade 8 on her Cello, exclaims ‘It’s fine!’ Connor King, also in year 11, says ‘It’s really good and we have loads of fun.’
We have recently said goodbye to the very talented Mr Zobkiw and Mr Hassan, we wish them the very best in their new schools.
